Unicorn is a unique investment bank focused on providing financial advice throughout the Eurasian continent on mergers, acquisitions, financing, restructuring, and private capital raising to institutional and individual owners in all major industry sectors.
Unicorn was established in Vienna in 2002 by Sergei Moiseyev, the former associate of D.H. Blair & Co. and AllianceBernstein. Since its founding Unicorn has remained faithful to its two core competitive advantages: intense industrial expertise and fervent focus on client end game. Thus, Unicorn bankers are doing what they love to do most for the sake of the result, not for the sake of the process.

In terms of geographic expansion, in 2003 Unicorn entered the Former Soviet Union market by opening a Moscow office. In 2024 we entered the Middle East by opening offices in Manama.

In terms of industry sector coverage, Unicorn has recruited bankers with long experience and deep expertise in nearly every industry sector and continues to recruit and develop additional talent to deepen that sector coverage.

Lastly, in terms of types of advice, the Bank initially focused exclusively on mergers and acquisitions, gradually expanding into financing, restructuring and private capital raising.

Unicorn has advised on a wide range of transactions across numerous regions and industries, comprising mergers, acquisitions, financing, restructuring and private capital raising. Transactions highlighted below are representative of Unicorn engagements. In addition, the Bank has completed many publicly undisclosed engagements.

M&A market: on the crest of a tsunami (In Russian)
Professional opinion № 1 (13)/2023
We continue to navigate the stages of natural (non-) disasters in the M&A markets and what they bring to investors, with M&A consultant Unicorn Capital Advisors.
The word "transformation" is best suited to describe the current period. In our work as M&A advisors, we find it everywhere today: in the approach to business processes and activity, in the unexpected willingness of many owners to get money for a deal from the pot of "tomorrow", in asset valuation, in changing the owners' sense of themselves and their position (business, stability, confidence)

M&A market: on the verge of a tsunami (In Russian)
Professional opinion № 1 (12) / 2021
2020 turned out to be an exceptional year for the M&A sector: the number of closed transactions decreased, which is understandable: the owners of companies were busy responding to the crisis, and in these difficult times, "extinguishing operational fires" became a priority for them.
However, despite the difficulties of the past year, Unicorn Capital Advisors' portfolio has not only successful closures at an attractive price, but also a number of new mandates in various industries. In our opinion, we are on the verge of an M&A tsunami.
