Sergei Moiseyev

Mr. Moiseyev founded Unicorn in 2002 and is currently its Chairman. He is actively involved in the entire process of mergers, acquisitions, financing, restructuring and private capital raising. Sergei is the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Unicorn proprietary transactions.

Prior to Unicorn, Sergei was a managing partner at the Siemens Austria TMT Buyout Fund and held various investment banking positions in New York. Sergei was a Chairman of Chelpipe, Alnas and CZP among others.

Sergei graduated from Moscow Finance University in 1992 and holds an MBA From Bryant University since 1994.

He has an extensive background in structuring and executing industrial buyouts and exits.

Tatiana Nikitina

Ms. Nikitina has been with Unicorn since its inception. Since 2018 she heads the Moscow office. She ensures Unicorn operations and services align with strategic goals and business needs by taking responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions. Tatiana is responsible for coordinating Unicorn's financial, HR, legal, general management and corporate operations.

Tatiana has strong experience and expertise in managing relationships. She led investor relations efforts in mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and numerous corporate initiatives, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Unicorn Tatiana worked as a Sales Manager at Skate Inc. where she marketed to international financial institutions.

She graduated from Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics in 2000 with a degree in Economics.

Aznavur Vartanian

retail & tmt

Mr. Vartanian joined Unicorn in 2022. He leads Unicorn’s deal team in retail, TMT.

Previously, Aznavur was a projects' leader at Sibur and Tashir-Medica investment fund.

He holds his master’s degree in Economics from Moscow State University (2016) and a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Law from Moscow State Law Academy (2017).

Imran Mirzayev

agri & fmcg

Mr. Mirzayev joined Unicorn in 2024. He leads Unicorn’s deal team in agriculture and FMCG.

Previously, he led Due Diligence projects at KPMG. Imran has a wide range of contacts among international companies, investment funds, large and medium-sized Russian companies, understands target industries, and has significant practical knowledge of investment valuation and transaction structuring.

In 2015, Imran received a bachelor's degree from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. In 2018 he received a master's degree from the School of Business and Management at Taltech.

Ilyas Yerzhanov

Mr. Yerzhanov joined Unicorn in 2023. He leads Unicorn’s deal team in industrials.

Prior to Unicorn, Ilyas worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada, Sberbank CIB and VTB Capital, where he participated in a series of landmark M&A and IPO deals. He has substantial experience structuring complex transactions, generating and executing investment ideas and performing valuations of mid-market and large companies.

Ilyas graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University and holds his Masters in Finance degree from EDHEC Business School in France.

Sergei Pleskachev

Mr. Pleskachev joined Unicorn in 2025. He leads Unicorn’s deal team in healthcare.

Previously, Sergei led strategic and investment projects at Tander (retail chain Magnit), where he was responsible for acquisitions of core and complementary assets. As a result, he has extensive experience in various industries, including retail, agriculture, and healthcare.

In 2020, Sergei graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Valeriy Malev

Mr. Malev joined the Unicorn team in 2025. He is responsible for deal origination and execution in mineral assets, licenses and companies in the mining, oil & gas, and extractive industries.

Previously, he worked in Sberbank's Corporate & Investment Banking division, KPMG, EY, and a private equity fund. He has extensive experience structuring large-scale M&A transactions and maintains a well-developed network among international investors, investment funds, and leading industrial companies.

In 2016, Valeriy earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and Management from the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Daniil Niyazov

infrastructure

Mr. Niyazov joined the Unicorn team in 2025. He is responsible for deal sourcing and execution, with a focus on infrastructure, transportation, and logistics.

Prior to joining, Daniil led M&A projects at PwC, Rosneft affiliates, and Sberbank International, where he was responsible for strategy development and execution of complex M&A transactions.

He holds a Bachelor's degree (2014) and a Master's degree (2016) from MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
